One of the first attack pieces of fire-fighting equipment, RCA hose reels are designed to be used as a quick and instant response mechanism by anybody from the general public to fight the fire as it is in its initial stages.
Suitable for class A fires, we install them in places that are easily accessible and have a controlled supply of water. We provide hose reels with different lengths to suit every environment.
We advise people not to use hose reels on electrical fires and flammable liquids – as this can lead to hazards such as electrocution. We refer to the Australian Standards AS2441, defining the concept of system coverage.
RCA Fire Protection and Electrical ensures that the hose reels are located in a way that the occupant is able to reach a fire in any part of the building, timely and effortlessly. The maximum allowed length as per regulations for this is 36m with a 4m spray from the nozzle, and that is precisely what our experts follow.
